Paris at Night on Cinestill Film

I’ve been experimenting with various kinds of film lately, including Cinestill 800t, a tungsten balanced film.  It tends to create halations, or red highlights, around light sources.  I took a few rolls of this film with me to Paris, and I tried using it during the blue hour, which is the time shortly after sunset, but before the sky is completely black.  I had mixed results — I was shooting handheld, in lower light.  I had a few shots per roll that I liked, including these from the Grenelle neighborhood where we stayed.

Le Suffren was lit up at night, and I managed to catch a nice interaction with a waiter and the patrons:

The Eiffel Cafe is on Boulevard Grenelle near the river Seine.  I liked the way this photo turned out:

Pizza Fiorentina was on the other side of the Boulevard:

I’m still going through the photos from this trip, and I hope to have more nighttime photos to share soon.

I also just returned from a week in Italy, so plenty of Italy photos to come as well!
