Parisian Market Flowers

When I am in Paris, no trip is complete without a visit to one of two of the markets.  My favorite is the Marché Bastille — one of the best outdoor markets in Paris.  Over a hundred vendors offer a wide variety of things to see and buy including clothes, meats, produce, furniture, cheese, and more.  The market is Sunday and Thursday mornings, and is is easily accessed from the Bastille Metro stop.

My eyes are immediately drawn to the vendors selling flowers.  The displays are typically very artistic, and everything is fresh and beautiful.  I often like to take photos of items for sale in markets because they make for interesting prints to display.  With an eye towards possibly printing and framing some of the shots, I made sure to get a variety of colors and the labels which were written in French.  Here are some of my favorite flower photos from my June 2024 visit to Paris.

Bundles of rose bouquets were ready for purchase, and make for a wonderful photo:

Here’s a variety of bouquets which were selling for as little as 5 Euros:

Sunflower bouquets are always popular:

The early-summer selections wouldn’t be complete without hydrangeas and peonies:

I’ll be sharing a lot more photos from Paris as well as Brittany and the French Riviera.  I have some of my favorite French Market flower photos available for sale on Etsy at: https://www.etsy.com/shop/FranceOnFilm
