Rainy Nyhavn

Like everyone else, we’re currently locked down due to the coronavirus pandemic.  I’m taking some time to go through some photos from past trips that never made it onto the blog.

This photo is from a summer 2018 trip.  We spent a couple of days in Copenhagen, Denmark sandwiched around five days in the Faroe Islands.  We didn’t have much time to explore, but I really wanted to see Nyhavn, a 17th century waterfront canal.  Nyhavn boasts brightly colored buildings, many of which are now restaurants or clubs.  It’s a beautiful place for an evening walk, and incredibly photogenic.  I was hoping for some sort of evening photo with lights reflecting on the canal, but managed to get caught up in a thunderstorm.  I took a few photos before the rain really started to come down, and then ran for the metro!
