A Few Minutes in Chicago..

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago

Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago

I was recently at a convention in Chicago.  It was pretty jam-packed, and I didn’t have much free time.  One night, I took a few minutes and walked the area around my hotel.  I didn’t go more than five or six blocks in any direction, and didn’t take many photos. Still, it’s been sort of slow on the travel front here, so I thought I’d share a few of the photos I did take.

The photo to the left of the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.  I took this in the early afternoon, and the light was great for an HDR style shot.  Please click it for a larger version.  I’d wanted to see this new skyscraper, and I wasn’t disappointed. Despite living only a few hours from Chicago, I rarely if ever travel there.  Perhaps I need to return and see some more of the city.  It seems as though my travel desires are strictly focused outside the country.  Of course, there are always interesting things to see nearby.

These photos were taken later, near evening.  It was overcast and foggy, and not many turned out.  These were the best few.  I hope you enjoy them, and I hope to return to Chicago in the future with more time to look around…

Wow, Peter these shots are really nice! Love what you are doing with your architecture photos lately. The mist on the Wrigley Bldg is interesting; that would be neat for the photo wall. from Andrea
